This project was a mid-century modern burnt adobe in the North Foothills of Tucson. It was a newly purchased home, and we painted the interior, changed the interior doors, replaced the exterior doors and windows. The kitchen was updated with a contemporary feel to match the home with increased ceiling height, an island, slate countertops and new appliances. We updated the master bath with a larger shower, a skylight and vaulted the ceiling. Our second project on the house consisted of converting a carport into a garage.
The kitchen was reworked to create an island and better workspace functionality for the foodie owners. We removed the wall between the kitchen and living area to open up the space. In the master bedroom, we created a large walk-in shower, private toilet room, and expanded the vanity area. The fireplace was resurfaced with a hand troweled integral color plaster.
